During the past two and half years, over 338.1 million rupees issued for the treatment of special children of police personnel deployed in various districts.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar is committed to providing the best medical treatment for the special children of police employees. In continuation of this commitment, over 338.1 million rupees have been issued during the past two and a half years for the treatment of special children of police personnel deployed in various districts. Punjab Police spokesperson, while providing details, shared that over 73.3 million rupees in funds have been issued for cochlear implant surgeries of 41 children. For 654 children with cerebral palsy (mental disability), a monthly amount of 10,000 rupees is being provided, totaling over 145.6 million rupees. For 161 children affected by thalassemia, a monthly amount of 15,000 rupees and in total over 59.8 million rupees have been issued for medical expenses.
For 162 children suffering from other hearing impairments, over 10.2 million rupees have been issued for medical treatment. For the treatment of 193 children suffering from various serious illnesses, over 38.9 million rupees have been provided. For 58 special children pursuing education, scholarships exceeding 10 million rupees have been given. 131 physically disabled children of police employees have also been provided with wheelchairs. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that comprehensive steps are ongoing for the treatment and rehabilitation of special children of police employees, and every possible support is being provided to the special children of police officers and officials. Welfare efforts are being made to make the lives of special children of police employees easier and dignified.
