IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presented commendation certificates and cash awards to officers and personnel from Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Jhelum, and Muzaffargarh.
On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to honor the officers and personnel who demonstrated exceptional performance against criminals involved in serious crimes. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that IG Punjab presented commendation certificates and cash awards to officers and personnel from Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Jhelum, and Muzaffargarh districts. Cash awards and commendation certificates were distributed among 6 police teams comprising 30 officers and personnel for their outstanding performance. The awarded officers and personnel carried out successful operations against criminals involved in murder, robbery, drug trafficking, and theft. In Jhelum, DSP Shahbaz Ahmed Hanjra and his team were awarded cash prizes and commendation certificates for rescuing over 400 flood victims.
DSP Zulfiqar Ali Virk and his team were appreciated with cash awards and commendation certificates for successfully recovering large quantities of narcotics during anti-narcotics operations. Inspector Farhat Nawaz was awarded a cash prize and a commendation letter for arresting 7 gangs and recovering stolen property worth millions of rupees. Sub-Inspector Safdar Atta and his team were encouraged with cash awards and commendation certificates for bringing the murderer of 5 victims to justice. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the police teams receiving awards for their excellent performance. Among those who received cash awards and commendation certificates were 2 DSPs, 3 Inspectors, 6 Sub-Inspectors, 4 ASIs, 5 Head Constables, and 10 Constables. The ceremony was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, AIG Admin Asad Ijaz Malhi, AIG Inspection Shaista Nadeem, and other officers.
