Punjab Police spokesperson has clarified that the media reports recently aired regarding irregularities in the Home Department’s secret funds are based on outdated information. The spokesperson said that audit objections are a routine part of the process during audits conducted across all government departments. Regarding the objections raised about CTD and Punjab Police, the relevant responses have already been submitted after addressing the audit concerns. All required records have been duly presented by the concerned districts and units before the relevant audit committees of the Government of Punjab. Once the records were verified and found accurate, the objections were formally closed.
