IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired an important meeting on infrastructure, logistics, and administrative matters of Riot Management Police.

An important meeting regarding the infrastructure, logistics, and other administrative affairs of the Riot Management Police was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Riot Management Police Khurram Shakoor, DIG Riot Management Police Asad Sarfraz Khan, DIG Welfare and Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, and AIG Shaista Nadeem. IG Punjab said that the Riot Management Police is an important force for ensuring law and order. Considering the contemporary law and order challenges, the force has been ensured to receive training on modern lines. After completing advanced training of the first batch consisting of 3,000 personnel of the Riot Management Police, their postings have been made. The eight-week training course included specially designed drills to maintain high standards of fitness and performance. Teams comprising officers and personnel are trained in mob engagement, mob control, water cannon, tear gas, rubber bullets, stun grenades, long-range acoustic devices, evacuation, arrests, first aid, advance party, drone operations, snipers, and canine (dog) handlers.
