Punjab Police remained on High Alert During Christian Worship Services Across Churches in lahore and Province

 

On the directions of Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police remained on high alert during Christian worship and prayer services held at churches across Lahore and the rest of the province. Prior to the services, IG Punjab had issued special instructions to all RPOs and DPOs to enhance security arrangements around churches. He directed supervisory officers to personally inspect the security of churches and other key locations. Additional police personnel and snipers were deployed at sensitive churches to ensure maximum vigilance.

Dolphin Squad, PRU, and Elite teams were instructed to conduct effective patrolling around churches, while officers and personnel on duty were ordered to remain fully alert and maintain strict surveillance on suspicious individuals. Search and sweep operations were also continued in and around churches, Christian residential areas, and other sensitive locations. IG Punjab further urged religious scholars, members of the Christian community, and peace committees to actively promote interfaith harmony.
