Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, met sub-Inspector Furqan Ahmed Khan Pahlwan at the Central Police Office. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, IG Punjab commended SI Furqan Ahmed Khan for winning two bronze medals in wrestling at the World Police and Fire Games. IG Punjab presented him with a certificate of appreciation.
On this occasion, IG Punjab remarked that Punjab Police athletes continue to achieve success at national, provincial, and international levels. He said medal-winning athletes in sports are the pride of the department. IG Punjab added that full support and encouragement for police athletes will continue.
Sharing further details, the spokesperson said that the World Police and Fire Games featured participants from law enforcement and firefighting agencies of over 80 countries. SI Furqan Ahmed Khan won bronze medals in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling events. He defeated wrestlers from the United States and Mongolia. Notably, he was the only participant from Pakistan at the event, representing Punjab Police in the United States.
