206 Wireless Telecommunication Officers Promoted to Higher Ranks
Promotion Rank-Pinning Ceremony Held at Qurban Lines
Under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, promotion process within the police force is progressing rapidly. As part of this initiative, 206 officers from the Wireless Telecommunication Wing have been promoted to higher ranks. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 121 Head Constables have been promoted to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), while 85 Constables have been promoted to the rank of Head Constable. A promotion rank-pinning ceremony was held at Qurban Lines for the promoted officers and personnel. DIG Telecommunication & Transport Imran Ahmar was the chief guest at the ceremony. SSP Telecommunication Akhtar Farooq, DSP Headquarters Faisal Bhatti, DSP PTP, and other senior officers also attended the event. DIG Imran Ahmar formally pinned the new ranks on the promoted officers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and DIG Imran Ahmar congratulated the promoted officers and their families. IG Punjab said that the Wireless Telecommunication Wing is a vital component of the Punjab Police, responsible for highly sensitive duties. He directed the promoted officers to continue serving with greater dedication and integrity. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that this year’s target includes 5,000 promotions across various cadres, and he advised officers and personnel to keep their ACRs and service records complete.
