Punjab Police Actively Ensuring quick Public Service Delivery and Enforcement of Traffic Laws
During the last 24 hours, 29,694 Driving Licenses Issued– Punjab Police Spokesperson
Punjab Police is actively working to improve public service delivery and ensure the enforcement of traffic laws. As part of these efforts, 29,694 individuals were issued driving licenses within the past 24 hours. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, more than 51,000 challans were issued for traffic violations, amounting to fines worth over Rs. 44 million. Additionally, 402 smoke-emitting vehicles were fined, and 35 were impounded at police stations. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that strict action against traffic violators must continue. He emphasized intensifying crackdowns on overloading, over-speeding, underage drivers, and wrong-way driving. Effective measures must also be taken to recover fines from those who have defaulted on traffic challans. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that citizens are also being provided training at 127 driving training schools operated by Punjab Police.
