Punjab Police ensured fool-proof security arrangements for Christian Prayer Services Held Across Churches in Lahore and Punjab

 

On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police remained on high alert and diligently performed their duties during Christian worship and prayer services held in churches across Lahore and the province. Prior to the services, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar had issued orders to RPOs and DPOs to strengthen security arrangements at churches. He directed supervisory officers to personally inspect security measures at churches and other key locations. Additional police personnel and snipers were deployed at sensitive churches. Dolphin Squad, PRU, and Elite teams ensured effective patrolling around churches. All police officers and personnel on duty were instructed to remain highly vigilant and keep a close watch on suspicious elements.

Search and sweep operations around churches, Christian communities, and sensitive areas are ongoing. IG Punjab further emphasized that religious scholars, members of the Christian community, and peace committees should actively promote interfaith harmony in the society.
