Director General, Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA), Capt. (Retd.) Farrukh Atiq Khan met Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar at the Central Police Office. DIG Establishment-II Capt. (Retd.) Liaqat Ali Malik, DIG Riot Management Police Asad Sarfraz Khan, and SP PERA Muhammad Imran were also present on the occasion. During the meeting, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar expressed his best wishes for the success of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority. He said that a force comprising active and capable personnel has been formed for PERA, and modern training is being ensured. He emphasized that the PERA force is an excellent public welfare initiative aimed at eliminating encroachments, hoarding, and profiteering. On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a well-trained force of 3,000 personnel has been provided to PERA by Punjab Police. IG Punjab assured full support to PERA in achieving the Chief Minister's assigned tasks, including operational and training matters. He further directed the DIG Establishment to immediately relieve all personnel deputed to PERA. DG PERA Capt. (Retd.) Farrukh Atiq Khan expressed gratitude to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar for his personal interest and wholehearted support in the establishment and formation of PERA.
