On the instructions of Additional IG Investigation Branch Punjab Shahzada Sultan, DIG Crime Ali Javed Anwar Malik chaired a meeting of the Standing Review Board. SSP Admin Investigation Punjab Kamran Mumtaz, SSP Investigation Fida Hussain, DSP Legal Qadeer Anwar, and DSP Admin Muntazir Mehdi participated in the meeting.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, 16 cases of change of investigation were discussed during the meeting. Investigating officers from local police, district investigation branch, and RIB investigation officers were heard. The Standing Review Board agreed with the previous investigations in 13 cases, while 3 cases were deferred for the next board meeting. A third investigation will be conducted under the supervision of Additional IG Investigation Branch Punjab Shahzada Sultan. The decision regarding change of investigation in the pending cases will be made in the next board meeting. Additional IG Investigation Punjab Shahzada Sultan said that regular holding of boards for change of investigation should be ensured, and all pending cases related to change of investigation should be resolved as soon as possible.
