Punjab Police is actively taking action against organized gangs across the province, including Lahore. As part of this ongoing campaign, 15 operatives of 7 gangs were arrested during the past 24 hours. Providing details, Punjab Police spokesperson said that a total of 78 weapons were recovered from the suspects, including Kalashnikovs, pistols, rifles, revolvers, and shotguns, along with hundreds of rounds of ammunition. In addition, 10 motorcycles, 10 mobile phones, and Rs. 2 million in cash were also recovered. The spokesperson further shared that during the operations, 118 proclaimed offenders, 102 court absconders, and 62 habitual criminals were apprehended. In actions against criminal elements, 4 criminals were neutralized, 6 were injured, and 5 were arrested. IG Punjab has directed officers to continue operations against criminals with increased intensity.
