Punjab Police Conducts Search, Sweep, and Combing Operations Across the Province Including Lahore

Punjab Police’s search, sweep, and combing operations are ongoing across the province, including Lahore. As part of this continued effort, during the last 24 hours, 413 combing operations were carried out, more than 14,560 accused were checked, and 41 suspicious individuals were taken into custody. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 26 search and sweep operations were conducted, over 3,155 individuals were interrogated, and 2 suspects were taken into custody.
A total of 247 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes, 71 court absconders, and 71 habitual criminals were also arrested. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminals and suspected individuals. During the actions against criminal elements, 4 offenders were neutralized, while 14 were arrested in injured condition. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that search, sweep, and combing operations will continue to hold anti-state and criminal elements accountable.
