Drug-Free Punjab: Anti-narcotics operations by Punjab Police continue across the province.
During the last 24 hours, 196 raids on drug dealers’ hideouts, 96 drug dealers arrested, Punjab Police Spokesperson.
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, anti-narcotics operations by Punjab Police are ongoing across the province, including Lahore, to accomplish the vision of a Drug-Free Punjab. In continuation of this campaign, 196 raids were conducted on drug dealers’ hideouts during the last 24 hours, and 96 drug dealers were arrested. Sharing details, the Punjab Police Spokesperson said that 31 kilograms of charas, 03 kilograms of ice (methamphetamine), 05 kilograms of heroin, and 952 liters of liquor were recovered from the drug dealers. IG Punjab directed that special operations against drug dealers and smugglers be continued with speed. IG Punjab directed that all suspects involved in the supply chain must be brought to justice and awarded strict punishments. IG Punjab further said that operations against individuals involved in drug dealing around educational institutions and hostels should be intensified.
