LAHORE - A delegation of 33 newly inducted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), including seven women officers of 52nd Common Training Programme (CTP) on Friday visited the Central Police Office (CPO) in Lahore and met Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab,Dr.Usman Anwar. According to the spokesperson for Punjab Police,the ASPs were set to begin their formal training at the National Police Academy starting July 20.As part of their training,they will undertake practical assignments across various districts of Punjab from July 28 to August 8’ 2025. During the visit,IGP Punjab briefed the trainee officers on key police projects,including the Crime Control Department (CCD),riot management police,police mobile applications and Smart Safe Cities initiatives.
Dr Usman said that the officers will also receive orientation on law and order,crime control strategies,welfare measures, judicial processes, and the Police Record Management System (PRMS). He emphasized that Punjab offers broad opportunities to understand systematic policing and learn modern, investigation-based practices. He urged the young officers to serve with dedication and commitment,underlining the importance of hard work and integrity in their duties. The meeting was also attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid, DIG Welfare & Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin,AIG Finance Nida Umar Chattha,AIG Welfare Abdul Rahim Shirazi and other senior officials.
