On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the process of departmental promotions is ongoing. In continuation of this, a meeting of the Promotion Board was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry for the promotion of Assistants to the rank of Superintendent. The meeting was attended by DIG Establishment-II Liaqat Ali Malik, AIG Admin Asad Ijaz Malhi, Registrar Hameer Ahmad Qureshi, and AD Admin Ahmad Naveed Malik. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 19 Assistants who fulfilled the required rules, regulations, and merit criteria have been promoted to the rank of Superintendent. AIG Admin & Security Asad Ijaz Malhi issued the official notification of the promotions.
The promoted officers are serving in various field formations and districts across the police force. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the newly promoted Assistants and advised them to perform their duties with even greater diligence. The promoted officers included Abrar Hussain, Sami Ahmed, Maysam Raza, Najam-ul-Hassan, Labeeb Ahsan, Maryam Irfan, Azhar Abbas, Rafiqat Ali, Tahir Ali, Waqar Younas, Muhammad Sajid, Sajjad Akbar, Sajida Firdous, Yasmeen Qayyum, Tahura Bibi, Farhan Nawal, Neelma Farooq, Maqsood Alam, and Rao Sajid Saleem.
