Performance report for June 2025 issued: 3.6 million individuals checked via e-Police Post App on highways; 392 proclaimed offenders and court absconders arrested.
Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) is actively serving and protecting citizens on highways and ensuring the enforcement of laws across the province. In continuation of these efforts, PHP has released its performance report for the month of June 2025.Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details, that during the month of June, PHP checked 3.6 million individuals on highways using the e-Police Post App. During these checks, 392 proclaimed offenders and court absconders were arrested. Across Punjab, 1.6 million vehicles were inspected, and 275 stolen vehicles/motorcycles were recovered. Legal action was taken against 33,898 overloaded vehicles for violating axle load regulations. Additionally, 1,096 vehicles were penalized for the illegal use of gas cylinders. For the convenience of citizens, 20,125 driving licenses were issued. 56 missing children were reunited with their parents, and 6,582 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed to improve traffic flow. A total of 13,618 travelers were provided with various forms of assistance and guidance on highways. At police service centers, 18,490 citizens received various policing services. In 52 cases, illegal weapons were seized. Recovered items from the accused included 2 Kalashnikovs, 4 rifles, 46 pistols, and hundreds of bullets. From drug dealers, 1,170 liters of liquor, 430 grams of hashish, and 80 grams of ice (crystal meth) were recovered. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, commended PHP for its outstanding performance. Dr. Usman Anwar instructed police officers to perform their duties with full dedication and sincerity for the smooth flow of traffic and the service and protection of citizens.
