Punjab Police Actively Ensuring Public Service Delivery and Enforcement of Traffic Laws
During last 24 hours, 30,626 Driving Licenses Issued: Punjab Police Spokesperson
Punjab Police is actively engaged in ensuring public service delivery and the enforcement of traffic laws. In this regard, 30,626 driving licenses were issued in just 24 hours. Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details, stating that 43,911 traffic violations were fined with a total fine of Rs. 24 million. Additionally, 557 vehicles emitting excessive smoke were fined, and 115 such vehicles were impounded at police stations. The spokesperson further said that, so far this year, 4.266 million driving licenses have been issued. A total of 6.297 million traffic violations have been recorded, with fines amounting to Rs. 3.83 billion. IG Punjab mentioned that actions against traffic law violators will continue, and that the 127 driving training schools run by Punjab Police are also providing citizens with training. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that effective measures will be taken to recover fines from violators of traffic laws.
