IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s Directive: Weekly General Parade Held Across the Province.
Senior Police Officers Inspect Parade; Contingents Salute
Under the directive of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were conducted across the province, including Lahore. According to details, senior police officers inspected the parade while the contingents presented their salutes. In the general parade participants from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, Special Protection Unit (SPU), Ladies Police, OCUs, Investigation Wing, and Operation Wing of police stations. Senior officers also checked the turnout of the participating officers and personnel. The contingents marched in disciplined formation, and female personnel also took part in the parade. Punjab Police spokesperson said that general parades are held regularly every Monday across the province. District officers also conducted inspections of posts, motor transport wings, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouses, and other departments.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said the purpose of the general parade is to keep personnel alert and to foster discipline, unity, and a spirit of brotherhood. He further said that the parade is the best demonstration of discipline in any force and helps maintain the fitness of officers and personnel. He added that the parade reflects the history, heritage, and traditions of the police force.
