A Punjab Police baseball player achieved an outstanding feat by securing a silver medal in the International West Asia Baseball Cup. Patron of the Pakistan Police Baseball Team, DIG Welfare & Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin met with the winning player. Punjab Police spokesperson said that Constable Umar Farooq from District Okara won the silver medal in the International West Asia Baseball Cup. Players from countries including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq, and Palestine participated in the tournament. Umar Farooq qualified for the final by defeating an Indian player in the semi-final. DIG Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin appreciated and encouraged the winning player for his excellent performance. DIG Welfare & Finance said that IG Punjab will award Umar Farooq with a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize. He further said that the athletic personnel of Punjab Police who win through hard work and dedication are a source of pride for the department and continous encouraging the athletes instills a spirit to perform more better among them.
