IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar's directions: Weekly General Parade held across the province
Senior police officers inspected the parade; marching squads presented salute
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were conducted across the province. According to details, senior police officers inspected the parade, while the marching squads presented salute. Personnel and officers from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Lady Police, OCU, Investigation, and Operations Wings from police stations participated in the general parade. Senior officers also checked the turnout of participating officers and personnel. Well-trained squads participating in the parade performed a march-past, and female personnel also took part in the general parade. Weekly general parades are being regularly conducted every Monday across the province. District officers also inspected arms stores, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouses, and other departments.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep personnel alert and to maintain discipline, unity, and a sense of camaraderie among them. He further said that a parade is the best demonstration of discipline in any force, and the general parade helps maintain the fitness of officers and personnel. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the parade reflects the history, heritage, and tradition of the police force.
