Jumma-tul-Mubarak: IG Punjab directed to enhance security across the province.
On the occasion of Jumma -tul-Mubarak, Inspector General of Punjab Police directed to enhance security across the province, including Lahore, and emphasized ensuring the security of mosques, Imambargahs, shrines, and important locations. He said that the mosque play a significant role in societal reform and in ensuring peace and justice. IG Punjab instructed district police heads and senior police officers to visit local mosques on the occasion of Jumma-tul-Mubarak and directed that police officers should listen to public issues in mosques after the Friday prayers.
He said that, in accordance with the spirit and teachings of Islam, mosques are being made centers of community engagement. The need and importance of mosques in the reform, development, and progress of society are highly significant. IG Punjab further said that senior officers should listen to citizens’ concerns at their doorstep through mosques and also inform them about the services and facilities being provided by the police.
