Arrival of Muharram-ul-Haram: IG Punjab"s directives: Police Security Advisory Issued.
Instructions have been issued to ensure foolproof security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram to all regional and district officers of Punjab Police, including CCPO Lahore, Traffic Police, and Operational Units.

In view of the arrival of Muharram-ul-Haram, a police security advisory has been issued on the instructions of IG Punjab. Instructions have been given to all regional and district officers of Punjab Police, including the CCPO Lahore, Traffic Police, and Operational Units, to ensure foolproof security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram. AIG Operations Punjab Zahid Nawaz Marwat said that police officers and personnel should take effective measures to maintain peace during processions and gatherings held in Muharram-ul-Haram. There must be complete coordination with religious scholars, peace committees, and the organizers of gatherings and processions. No processions or gatherings should be allowed at any place other than the designated routes and locations. Strict implementation of the Loudspeaker Act must be ensured. Intelligence-based search operations should be continued in collaboration with other agencies to counter anti-state and criminal elements. Unauthorized use of drones during processions and gatherings is strictly prohibited, and legal action will be taken in case of violation.
RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, and traffic officers should personally supervise the security arrangements of Muharram-ul-Haram. Security should also be tightened for mosques, Imambargahs, and minority worship places. AIG Operations Punjab further said that control rooms should be established across the province for monitoring of processions and gatherings during Muharram-ul-Haram. Control rooms established in all districts should be connected with the central control room of the Central Police Office.
