Punjab Police continues crackdown against drug peddlers across the province.
During the last 24 hours, 231 raids on drug peddlers’ hideouts were conducted and 136 drug peddlers arrested, Punjab Police Spokesperson
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is continuing its crackdown against drug peddlers across the province including Lahore, as a result of which 231 raids were conducted on drug peddlers’ hideouts in 24 hours and 136 drug peddlers were arrested. Punjab police Spokesperson shared that 73 kg charas, 03 kg ice, 1485 liters of alcohol and 04 kg heroin were recovered from drug peddlers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the officers to continue special operations against drug dealers and smugglers at the earliest. All the accused involved in the supply chain should be brought to justice and given strict punishment. IG Punjab said that action should be taken against those involved in drug trafficking in and around educational institutions and hostels.
