Punjab Police Continues Province-Wide Search, Sweep, and Combing Operations, Including in Lahore
Punjab Police continues its province-wide search, sweep, and combing operations, including in Lahore. During the last 24 hours, 443 combing operations were conducted, 16,413 suspects were checked, and 98 were detained. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 33 search and sweep operations were carried out, during which 2,640 individuals were questioned and 2 suspects were arrested. Additionally, 216 proclaimed offenders, 121 court absconders, and 28 habitual criminals involved in heinous crimes were also apprehended. A significant quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of suspects and criminals. During operations against criminal elements, 6 criminals were neutralized, 3 were injured, and 5 were taken into custody. Inspector General Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, stated that search, sweep, and combing operations will continue to ensure that terrorists and anti-national elements are held accountable.
