During the days of Eid-ul-Adha, Punjab Police continues its crackdown against drug dealers across the province including Lahore. As part of this effort, 223 raids were conducted on drug dealers’ hideouts, and 110 drug dealers were arrested. Punjab Police Spokesperson said that 23 kilograms of charas, 4 kilograms of ice, 2,950 liters of liquor, and 1 kilogram of heroin were recovered from the arrested individuals. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that special operations against drug dealers and smugglers be accelerated. All individuals involved in the supply chain must be brought to justice and handed strict punishments. IG Punjab further said that action against those involved in drug peddling around educational institutions and hostels must be intensified.
