Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended the police force for the excellent security arrangements on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. IG Punjab said that CCPO Lahore, RPOs, DPOs, traffic officers, and senior officers remained present in the field. Punjab Safe Cities Authority assisted in keeping Lahore and the entire province clean and free from animal waste through excellent monitoring and surveillance. Due to effective patrolling, monitoring, and coordinated security measures, Eid-ul-Adha remained peaceful. Operations against law-breaking elements involved in one-wheeling and aerial firing continued. Punjab Police Spokesperson said that on Eid-ul-Adha, 32 law-breaking individuals involved in one-wheeling were arrested from across the province including Lahore, and 25 cases were registered. Seven law-breaking individuals involved in aerial firing were arrested, cases were registered, and illegal weapons were recovered. Four suspects were arrested for spreading fear and panic among citizens through display of weapons. For violations of the Loudspeaker Act, seven suspects were arrested and cases were registered. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, 14 cases were registered against individuals involved in the illegal collection of animal hides.
