Punjab Police intensified the Search, sweep, and combing operations in view of Eid-ul-Adha security arrangements.

In view of Eid-ul-Adha security, search, sweep, and combing operations by Punjab Police are ongoing across the province. As part of this effort, 248 combing operations were conducted in the last 24 hours, during which 7,392 suspects were checked and 18 suspicious individuals were taken into custody. Punjab Police Spokesperson, while sharing details, said that 27 search and sweep operations were carried out, 2,261 individuals were questioned, and 1 suspicious person was arrested. In addition, 71 proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes, 12 court absconders, and 2 habitual criminals were also arrested.
Punjab Police Spokesperson further said that a large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminal and suspicious individuals. During actions against criminals, 1 offender was neutralized. IG Punjab directed that search, sweep, and combing operations must continue to hold terrorists and anti-state elements accountable.
