IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s Commendable Initiative: All Welfare Cases Resolved Before Eid
Rs. 78.1 Million Released from Welfare Funds for Police Employees and Families of Martyrs, Punjab Police Spokesperson
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s commendable initiatives for the welfare of police employees and families of martyrs continue. In this regard, IG Punjab has resolved all welfare cases before Eid, releasing Rs. 78.1 million from welfare funds. Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details, that Rs. 45.4 million were disbursed to the families of 1,134 employees who died during service and martyrs. Rs. 6.955 million were given as monthly stipends to 155 children of police employees suffering from thalassemia. Funds amounting to Rs. 18.5 million were released for 619 mentally disabled children. Rs. 7.177 million were provided for medical treatment of children of police employees suffering from various illnesses. IG Punjab said that in view of Eid-ul-Adha, all amounts were released before June 30. Police Welfare Fund and income generated through welfare sources are used to address the problems faced by employees and their families. Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police stands with its employees and their families in moments of happiness, sorrow, and all festivals.
