Drug-Free Punjab: Punjab Police"s anti-narcotics operations continue across the Province
222 raids were conducted on drug dealers’ hideouts in 24 hours, 128 arrested and narcotics recovered, Spokesperson Punjab Police
Under the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is actively conducting anti-narcotics operations to achieve the vision of a drug-free Punjab. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that during the last 24 hours, 222 raids were conducted on drug dealers' hideouts, resulting in the arrest of 128 drug dealers and the recovery of narcotics.
From the arrested individuals, 228 kilograms of charas, 81 kilograms of opium, 07 kilograms of heroin, 02 kilograms of ice, and 1,653 liters of liquor were recovered. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed to expedite special operations against drug dealers and smugglers. All individuals involved in the supply chain should be brought to justice and given strict punishments. IG Punjab stressed that actions against those involved in drug trafficking around educational institutions and hostels should be intensified.
