In view of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha, Punjab Police intensified search, sweep, and combing operations, conducting 403 combing operations within 24 hours. A total of 17,259 suspected individuals were checked, and 97 suspicious individuals were taken into custody. Punjab Police Spokesperson shared that 51 search and sweep operations were carried out, 5,621 individuals were interrogated, and 04 suspects were arrested. Additionally, 195 proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes, 98 court absconders, and 116 habitual criminals were also arrested. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminal and suspicious individuals.
During the action against criminal elements, 05 criminals were neutralized, 06 were injured, and 05 were arrested. Inspector General Punjab said that search, sweep, and combing operations should continue in order to hold terrorists and anti-state elements accountable.
