Punjab Police Foiled 31 Attacks by Khawariji Terrorists in the Past One and a Half Years, Punjab Police Spokesperson

Punjab Police is firmly committed to protecting the country’s internal borders and thwarting the plans of terrorists. Punjab Police spokesperson, while providing details, shared that Punjab Police foiled 31 attacks by Khawariji terrorists during the past one and a half years. Twenty-two Khawariji attacks were foiled in Dera Ghazi Khan, and nine in Mianwali. In response operations by Punjab Police, 43 Khawariji terrorists were eliminated. During operations against the Khawarij, 15 police officers and personnel were severely injured.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police has achieved unprecedented successes against Khawariji terrorists. Police check posts in border areas have been further strengthened and equipped with better facilities. Border police checkpoints have been equipped with modern thermal imaging cameras, guns, surveillance devices, equipment, and technology. Punjab Police personnel deployed at tri-border police stations and check posts remain alert and stand as a steel wall against terrorists. IG Punjab further said that the morale of Punjab Police personnel is high, and cowardly terrorist attacks cannot weaken them.
