Punjab Police Intensified Search, Sweep, and Combing Operations Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha
348 Combing Operations Conducted in 24 Hours, 13,502 suspects Checked, 45 Suspects Detained, Punjab Police Spokesperson
Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, Punjab Police have accelerated the search, sweep, and combing operations. In continuation of these efforts, within the last 24 hours, 348 combing operations were conducted, 13,502 suspects were checked, and 45 suspects were taken into custody. Punjab Police Spokesperson, while providing details, said that 46 search and sweep operations were carried out during which 5,627 individuals were interrogated, and 4 suspects were arrested. Furthermore, 215 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes, 61 judicial absconders, and 87 habitual criminals were also arrested. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition were recovered from criminals and suspects. During operations against criminals, 3 criminals were brought to justice, 5 were injured, and 3 were arrested. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that search, sweep, and combing operations will continue to hold terrorists and anti-state elements accountable.
