Central Police Office: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired an important video link meeting to review performance targets under Key Performance Indicators

A video link meeting was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. AIG Operations Zahid Nawaz Marwat and AIG Admin Dr. Asad Ejaz Malhi were present at the meeting, while Additional IG South Punjab, RPOs, CPOs, and DPOs participated via video link. Performance targets under the “Key Performance Indicators” were reviewed in the meeting. Punjab Police Spokesperson shared that matters related to crime control, hardcore policing, traffic management, and the performance of Khidmat Marakaz (service centers) were discussed. Ongoing efforts regarding registration of FIRs, investigation, and challaning processes were reviewed. Progress on handling law & order and redressal of complaints received in 1787 was also assessed.

Punjab Police Spokesperson further shared that protection of women and vulnerable groups, administrative matters, grievance redressal of complainants, security, and delivery of services were also discussed. IG Punjab directed that immediate contact with complainants on the 1787 helpline must be ensured. Actions against drugs, illegal weapons, and organized crime should be intensified. Effective field patrolling and improved response time should be prioritized to further control crime. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the rate of driving license issuance should be increased, and the easy availability of digital facilities at Khidmat Marakaz should be ensured.
