The PSL X final, the biggest clash of the tournament, was played between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium. On the directions of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, comprehensive security arrangements were made for domestic and foreign players, officials, and fans.A spokesperson for Punjab Police stated that more than 8,000 police officers and personnel were deployed for security duty during the match. IG Punjab instructed that supervisory officers personally review all arrangements, including security and traffic. Police personnel were directed to remain highly alert at duty points and maintain strict vigilance against any suspicious activity. Punjab Police adopted an improved security strategy for PSL matches.
IG Punjab appreciated the performance of Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan police for ensuring that fans could enjoy high-quality cricket in a peaceful environment. Moment-to-moment coordination was maintained with all relevant institutions, including the district administration and security agencies, to ensure the smooth conduct of PSL matches. Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit, and Elite Force teams effectively patrolled the routes and areas surrounding the stadium. Important locations, including team routes, the stadium, and accommodations, were continuously monitored through CCTV cameras. Police snipers were deployed on high-rise buildings around the stadium and surrounding areas. A traffic advisory was also issued to inform citizens and maintain traffic flow. Dr. Usman Anwar further urged fans to follow police instructions to enjoy the cricket matches safely.
