Central Police Office: Ceremony held for distribution of cash prizes and appreciation certificates for outstanding performance of police athletes

On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to distribute cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the outstanding performance of police athletes. The spokesperson of Punjab Police said that the IG Punjab awarded 2.025 million rupees in cash prizes and appreciation certificates to 44 police athletes. The recipients included athlete players, coaches, and managers. Police athletes won 36 medals in various national sports events. Among the medal winners were also 5 women police athletes. Police athletes secured 1 gold, 14 silver, and 21 bronze medals. Police players won medals in bodybuilding, weightlifting, rifle shooting, wrestling, taekwondo, archery, and wushu. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police sports teams are consistently achieving success at national and provincial levels. Police athletes winning medals in national games are the pride of the department. IG Punjab further said that comprehensive measures will continue to encourage and support police athletes..
