LAHORE: Police claimed to have killed two dacoits and injured five others on Tuesday in an ongoing operation against the criminals of the Katcha area of Muzaffargarh district. A spokesperson for the Punjab police says they achieved a major success by eliminating dacoit gangs from the Katcha area of Alipur. He claims that the Muzaffargarh district police destroyed the last stronghold of dacoits, killing two hardened criminals, besides injuring five others. The operation was directly supervised by Muzaffargarh DPO Dr Rizwan, while Rajanpur DPO also joined it, he adds. He says the police also torched and destroyed the hideouts of the dacoits, and launched a search operation in the Katcha area of Muzaffargarh. After a successful operation, he says, the police pickets have been established in the Katcha area of Muzaffargarh. IGP Dr Usman Anwar congratulated the police teams on their outstanding performance against the criminals.
