Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz actively providing digital services to citizens
Over 1.414 million citizens have availed policing services from Khidmat Marakaz so far this year
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz are actively engaged in providing digital services to citizens. In continuation of this initiative, more than 1.414 million citizens have availed policing services from Khidmat Marakaz so far this year.
Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing the details, shared that over 656,000 citizens obtained general police verification, while more than 339,000 citizens received police character certificates. Similarly, more than 165,000 citizens registered tenancy, and over 63,000 citizens obtained medico-legal certificates. The spokesperson of Punjab Police further said that under ongoing measures for vulnerable segments, legal and social protection was provided to over 54,000 individuals, while 17,000 citizens conducted vehicle verifications. He added that more than 35,000 citizens reported loss of documents, over 1,964 registered crime reports, and 67,000 citizens received copies of FIRs. Additionally, 16 women violence reports were registered. Moreover, 11,734 citizens registered employees (ROPE), while 1,334 citizens completed police verification for private employment.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Khidmat Marakaz is a flagship public service delivery project, offering 24/7 facilities to citizens. He further said that hundreds of thousands of citizens across the province, including Lahore, are benefiting from the services of Police Khidmat Marakaz every month, and services are continuously being upgraded in light of citizen feedback.
