Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is committed to providing the best medical treatment to Ghazi personnel who got injured in the line of duty. In continuation of this commitment, an additional amount of Rs. 2.55 million has been released for the payment of medical expenses of injured personnel from Lahore and various other districts.
Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing the details, said that injured ASI Sohail Mustafa has been provided with Rs. 1.5 million in funds for medical expenses. Injured Constable Shahbaz Riaz has been provided with Rs. 300,000 for medical expenses. Injured ASI Amir Siyam has been given Rs. 200,000 for treatment. Injured ASI Nazir Ahmad has been given Rs. 200,000 for medical expenses. Injured Sub-Inspector Irfan Mustafa has been provided with Rs. 200,000 in funds for medical expenses. Injured Sub-Inspector Abdul Qayyum, Constables Dilawar Ali, and Qaiser Abbas have each been provided with Rs. 50,000 in funds for treatment.
The spokesperson of Punjab Police further said that the Compensation Award Committee, chaired by Additional IG Welfare Imran Arshad, approved the disbursement of funds. IG Punjab said that the best medical treatment and quick rehabilitation of police Ghazis is a top priority. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that no effort will be spared for the best health welfare of Ghazi personnel.
