Central Police Office: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired an important meeting on CCD professional affairs.
An important meeting regarding CCD's professional affairs was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. Additional IG CCD Sohail Zafar Chattha, Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan, DIG CCD Umar Farooq Salamat, AIG Operations Abdul Rahim Shirazi, and AIG Admin Asad Ijaz Malhi were present on the occasion, while RPOs, DPOs, Ros, and DOs CCD from Gujranwala and Sheikhupura regions participated via video link.
IG Punjab reviewed the resources provided to CCD Gujranwala and Sheikhupura and their performance. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that the ROs and DOs of CCD Gujranwala and Sheikhupura briefed on the targets achieved. IG Punjab said that CCD is an essential component of district police and is delivering excellent results through effective coordination despite limited resources.
In the next three months, the offices of the Crime Control Department will be equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities. Following the Crime Control Department, the Cyber Crime Department and Punjab Tourism Police will soon be launched within Punjab Police. After improving the front ends of Special Initiative Police Stations, now the back ends will also be enhanced.
Punjab Police, based on state-of-the-art infrastructure, technology, and smart policing, will soon become a one billion dollar organization. IG Punjab appreciated the performance of CPO Gujranwala Rana Muhammad Ayaz Saleem, DPO Sialkot Faisal Shahzad, and SSP CCD Mansoor Aman, and praised the performance of CCD officers on achieving targets related to the suppression of heinous crimes. There is excellent coordination and working relationship between district police and CCD for the elimination of serious crimes. The district police have fully provided human resources, transport, offices, and logistics to CCD.
Additional IG CCD Sohail Zafar Chattha said that CCD is focused on heinous crimes including robbery-murder, robbery-rape, sexual assault-murder, motorcycle theft, and dangerous gangs. IG Punjab directed CCD to further accelerate the arrest of high-profile proclaimed offenders and gang members.
