Punjab Police paid excellent tribute to the glorious success of the Pakistan Armed Forces against Indian aggression. On the Day of Gratitude, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that the martyrs of Operation Bunyan Al Marsous were paid tribute, and the ghazis were saluted. He also saluted the brave pilots of the Pakistan Air Force, who defeated the enemy’s numerical superiority with military expertise. On this Day of Gratitude, Punjab Police reaffirms its commitment to protect the internal borders of the country and the lives and property of its citizens.
On the Day of Gratitude, the Central Police Office, along with police offices across the province, was illuminated with lights. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Punjab Police stands alongside the Pakistan Armed Forces for the survival and integrity of the country and is grateful to Allah for this historic victory, shared by the entire nation. On the Day of Gratitude, rallies, ceremonies, and events held across Lahore and Punjab were provided foolproof security. The entire nation contributed to the security of the country by playing a pivotal role, ensuring the defeat of the cowardly enemy’s evil designs. Pakistan is a peaceful country, and it knows how to defend its borders, sovereignty, and dignity. Pakistan's outstanding victory sends a message of encouragement, unity, and leadership to the Muslim Ummah.
Punjab Police spokesperson shared that Quran recitations were held in police lines and offices throughout the province in honor of the martyrs of Operation Bunyan Al Marsous. Police officers and personnel prayed for the safety and security of the country and its citizens. RPOs, CPOs, and DPOs raised flags, placed flowers at the martyrs’ memorials, and recited prayers for the fallen. Police formations saluted the brave officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. RPOs, CPOs, and DPOs met with the families of martyrs, presenting them with flowers and gifts. On the Day of Gratitude, rallies were organized under the auspices of Punjab Police to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces. These events were attended by large numbers of people from various walks of life. On the Day of Gratitude, Punjab Police ensured a high level of alertness and performed security duties. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar mentioned that a total of 189 rallies, flag hoisting ceremonies, Quran recitations, and other events were held across the province. All rallies, prayer ceremonies, and programs were given full security. Officers from various units, including Police, Traffic, Dolphin Squad, PRU, and Elite Force, were deployed for security duties. With the help of Safe Cities Authority’s cameras, the routes of the rallies were monitored. Additional traffic wardens were deployed on rally routes to ensure uninterrupted flow of traffic. Dr. Usman Anwar also said that teams from the Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit, and Elite Force ensured effective patrolling around mosques, worship places, and key locations.
