Face Trace

Face Trace:

The Face Trace System is an advanced artificial intelligence-powered facial recognition system introduced by the Punjab Police to enhance the identification and apprehension of suspects and wanted criminals. Developed in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), FTS aims to improve accountability, reliability, and efficiency within law enforcement operations.

Key Features of the Face Trace:

  • Extensive Database: FTS maintains a comprehensive data bank of over 18 million individuals, including suspects and criminals. This extensive repository enables swift identification processes, significantly aiding investigative efforts.
  • AI-Driven Facial Recognition: Leveraging state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technology, FTS accurately matches facial features from various sources, such as CCTV footage, against its database. This capability allows for real-time identification and tracking of individuals involved in criminal activities.
  • Integration with Existing Systems: The system is designed to be compatible with other database portals, including the Criminal Record Management System (CRMS) of the Punjab Police. This integration ensures seamless access to pertinent information, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement operations.
