IG Punjab instructed DIG Operations Lahore to ensure strict action against the responsible
Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, took notice of the traffic accident at Akhri Minute Stop, Shalimar, in which five people, including two schoolgirls, lost their lives and four others were injured. He has sought a report from the CCPO Lahore. IG Punjab directed DIG Operations Lahore to identify those responsible for the accident and take strict action. He said the negligent dumper driver should be immediately arrested and strict legal action should be taken against him. IG Punjab expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident, including the young schoolgirls, and instructed the CTO Lahore to take strict action against drivers violating speed limits.
