Punjab Police conducted 205 raids on the locations of drug dealers across the province, including Lahore, within 24 hours, and arrested 133 drug dealers from Lahore and other areas of the province. A total of 59 kilograms of charas, 2 kilograms of ice, 12 kilograms of heroin, 1466 liters of alcohol, and other drugs were recovered from the drug dealers. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has directed the continuation of special operations against drug dealers and smugglers, emphasizing the importance of eliminating the drug supply chain and ensuring the arrest of those involved in online drug trading. Furthermore, intelligence-based operations around educational institutions and hostels should be expedited.
