28th Martyrdom Anniversary of Martyred SSP Ashraf Marth: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Paid Rich Tribute
On the 28th martyrdom anniversary of martyred SSP Ashraf Marth, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute and said that officers like SSP Ashraf Marth, who were brave and dedicated to their duties, are the pride of Punjab Police. He further added that SSP Ashraf Marth achieved a unique position during his service through his exemplary performance and leadership skills. Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifices of brave martyrs like SSP Ashraf Marth.
The spokesperson of Punjab Police shared that SSP Ashraf Marth was martyred on the morning of May 6, 1997, when unknown assailants shot him in Gujranwala. After his martyrdom, the Gujranwala Police Lines was named in honor of SSP Ashraf Marth.
