On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were held across the province including Lahore. According to details, senior police officers inspected the parade while the parade contingents presented a salute. Personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, OCU, Investigation Wing, and Operation Wing of police stations participated in the general parade.
Senior officers also checked the turnout of the officers and personnel participating in the parade. The alert and disciplined contingents participating in the general parade performed a march-past, and female personnel also took part in the parade. General parades are being held regularly across the province every Monday. District officers also conducted inspections of the armouries, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouse, and other departments. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep the personnel alert and to maintain an atmosphere of discipline, unity, and brotherhood among them. He further said that the parade is the best display of discipline for any force and helps in maintaining the fitness of officers and personnel. He said the parade reflects the history, heritage, and tradition of the police force.
