Following the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, a Rank pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to rank 58 officers promoted to the position of Inspector. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar conferred the rank of Inspector to the promoted officers. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, 40 officers from Lahore, 09 from Gujranwala, 07 from Gujrat, and 02 officers from Sheikhupura were promoted to the rank of Inspector. The parents, children, and family members of the promoted officers participated in large numbers in the ceremony. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted Inspectors and their families. IG Punjab said that, in light of the current border situation, Punjab Police is highly alert and working alongside security agencies. The personnel stationed at inter-provincial border police posts are standing firm like a fortified wall against terrorists. This year, the target for promotions is 5,000. Officers and personnel are advised to maintain their ACRs and service records. Dr. Usman Anwar instructed the officers, emphasizing that there is zero tolerance for corruption and misconduct, and they should serve the citizens with the best of manners. In response to promotions and welfare, they must provide selfless service and fearless protection to the citizens. The ceremony was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I, Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid, DIG Establishment-II Liaquat Ali Malik, and AIG Discipline, along with senior officers.
