Current Security Situation: Intelligence-Based Search, Sweep, and Combing Operations Continue across the province.

In light of the current security situation, Punjab Police continues intelligence-based search, sweep, and combing operations across the province, including Lahore. As part of this ongoing effort, 395 combing operations were conducted in the last 24 hours, during which 12,282 suspected individuals were checked and 15 suspicious persons were taken into custody.
Providing further details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that 46 search and sweep operations were carried out, involving interrogation of 2,466 individuals and the arrest of 08 suspects. In addition, 339 proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes, 120 court absconders, and 71 habitual criminals were also apprehended. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminal and suspicious elements.
During operations against criminal elements, 02 criminals were neutralized and 02 were injured. IGP Punjab said that mock exercises by Punjab Police to counter terrorists and criminal elements are also underway. These mock exercises involve joint participation of Punjab Police, CTD (Counter-Terrorism Department), Special Branch, Elite Force, Rescue 1122, and other law enforcement agencies.
