Campaign for the Evacuation of Illegally Residing Foreign Nationals
12,649 Illegally Residing Individuals, Including Afghans, Deported from Across Punjab, Punjab Police Spokesperson
Punjab Police’s campaign to evacuate illegally residing foreign nationals is ongoing, and as part of this initiative, a total of 12,649 individuals, including Afghan nationals, have been deported from across the province. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the campaign, 12,808 illegally residing individuals have been transferred to holding centers, while 159 individuals are currently present at holding points.
The spokesperson further said that five holding centers have been established in Lahore and 46 across the province. Inspector General of Punjab Police said that the evacuation policy is being implemented in accordance with international laws and that security is on high alert. He said the evacuation of all illegally residing individuals will be ensured, and human rights are being fully respected throughout the process.
