Punjab Police arrested 66 operatives of 27 criminal gangs within 24 hours.
113 weapons including Kalashnikovs, pistols, rifles, revolvers, shotguns, and hundreds of bullets and other items recovered from the possession of the accused
On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is actively carrying out operations against criminal elements. In continuation of these efforts, Punjab Police arrested 66 operatives of 27 criminal gangs within 24 hours and recovered 113 weapons including Kalashnikovs, pistols, rifles, revolvers, and shotguns, along with hundreds of bullets Punjab Police spokesperson said that 60 motorcycles, 52 mobile phones, 15 livestock, and 4 million rupees in cash were also recovered. He said that 263 proclaimed offenders, 101 court absconders, and 100 habitual criminals were arrested. During the operations against criminal elements, 6 criminals were neutralized and 2 were injured. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that officers should continue operations against criminal elements.
